Hello All,
I'm new to this site and trying to get my profile done...very confusing(LOL)!! I'm trying to fiqure out how to change my profile name, not my user name?? I also am very new to the veggie lifestyle and didn't understand the labeling. I am a vegetarian that eats egg whites & a few lowfat milk products so what label should I choose? I eventually want to turn totally vegan:) My hubby said he could do maybe 2-3 meals a week meatless...keep your fingers crossed on that one(LOL)!! Thanks in advance for all your help.
For your "profile name," I assume you are talking about the text that will be in the upper left of your profile/under your thumbnail. To change that, go to edit profile, then it will be "profile caption," which is a few lines down from the space to upload your profile pic. Just type it in there and save.
You are currently a lacto/ovo vegetarian (you eat eggs and milk).
:)
Thanks Allychristine for taking the time to answer my questions :) In the next few months, I will hopefully turned totally vegan ;)b Just trying to get my body adjusted to it slowly. One of my vegan friends says it's so much easier to switch over slowly ~ that way you won't have the "cravings" as much ;)
Sure! Whatever works best for you. Some people transition, and some make a total switch. Either way, you will love it, and find many great alternatives to satisfy any cravings!
Hi & welcome! Glad you're here... this is a good place for any other questions you have, also, even after you get your profile sorted out! Good luck & have fun exploring new foods... I was surprised when I went plants-only, and found that my diet *expanded*-- enjoy the journey!
:)
Welcome!!! All the best in the transition.
Welcome! That's awesome that your hubby is at least willing to try a few meatless meals! My family absolutely refuses (although they do eat the banana muffins, I think I "forgot" to tell them they were vegan until after they had eaten 3 each and proclaimed them Delicious! lol) and they make fun of me all the time, especially when we go out to eat .... but that's great that you have support, it makes it easier!
I am really enjoying trying new foods that I would never have ordinarily tried (and loving!) and new recipes! And I FEEL SO Much Better! I've even got a few people from work that are interested in eating a more plant-based diet!
