Good luck! My family is moving to San Antonio, TX, later this year, so I feel for you! I hope you can find some likeminded people there.

Hello, pixieled! Welcome!
...my limited searches have yielded little to nothing in the way of vegan resources in Macon, and it looks like the closest place for good restaurants and stores would be Atlanta.
I'm living just outside Moreland (near Newnan), and We regularly drive the hour into Little Five Points (the best neighbourhood in ATL) to get goodies at Sevananda, a great little co-op. And to my surprise, living in rural Georgia hasn't given me any trouble at all! My boyfriend is vegan too, and his entire family is very supportive...... so You never know, You can find vegan-friendly people anywhere. :)

thanks carrot!!!! very useful info! i am definitely not expecting to meet any single vegan men, but it's good to know that some may exist in rural GA.
there is supposed to be a vegetarian/vegan restaurant in macon called "Eden'z" which i shall seek out when i visit the house i am moving into @ the end of this month. i am guessing i will have to make a monthly day trip into Atlanta to grab some true vegan fare.
again, thanks for the info & well wishes :)
