Vegetarian Chicken Gravy

What you need: 

2 tablespoons margarine
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour (use tapioca flour for a wheat-free version)
1/4 teaspoon veggie poultry seasoning
1/8 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon paprika
1 cup low-salt vegetarian chicken-flavored broth

What you do: 

1. Melt margarine in a small saucepan over medium heat. Add flour, poultry seasoning, salt, and paprika, stirring with a whisk.
2. Gradually add broth, stirring until blended.
3. Cook 5 minutes over medium-high heat or until thick, stirring constantly.

SO HOW'D IT GO?

So yummy :) Didn't have any poultry seasoning so made my own (a blend of sage, thyme, marjoram, nutmeg, rosemary). Nice colour and nice flavour. Will definitely make this again! :D

Great gravy recipe! Had great color too, we really enjoyed it on our mashed potatoes at Thanksgiving...would recommend at least doubling the recipe! Oh also, next time I make this I won't add any salt until I have it on my plate, but what a great recipe I can't wait to try it on some lentil loaf, etc!  ;)b

This is yummy and easy!! I tripled it, used a whole box of No Chicken Broth plus what was left over from the stuffing and mashed potatoes, added garlic powder, 12 squirts of Braggs, about 1/2 a drop of liquid smoke (poured a drop into a spoon and used half) and a tablespoon of nutritional yeast.

this is quick, easy and really good!

I make this all the time now, tonight I added chopped mushrooms.  I could seriously eat this with a spoon.......well actually I do eat it with a spoon!!!

I was searching for a gravy recipe free of nutritional yeast because I had run out.  I didn't have any paprika or veggie poultry seasoning and this still turned out fantastic!  I will definately be making this gravy again.

SOOO good! I used homemade veggie broth and garlic and onion powder instead of poultry seasoning. Will defiantly make this again and again! Oh, and I don't think it serves six  ;D

pretty good but i had to add extra flour to make it thicker
