Tahini Salad Dressing

What you need:

1 tablespoon of tahini
Juice of 1 lemon
2 medium sized cloves of garlic, grated or crushed
2 teaspoons of fresh ginger, grated or crushed
1/2 tablespoon tamari or soy sauce
1/2 tablespoon sesame or peanut oil (optional)
2 tablespoons of water
salt & pepper to taste

What you do:

These proportions are a guide only and all ingredients are optional.
Put everything in a bottle or container with a lid and shake it vigorously for about 30 seconds or until its all mixed.
Use it liberally, its delicious and it goes well with everything I've tried it with. This makes about half a cup - at least enough for a big salad, and any leftover will keep in the fridge, just shake it well before use.

SO HOW'D IT GO?

This dressing was very delicious and quick to make. I served it over a spinach salad and I'm already making plans to use up the leftovers tomorrow. Thanks for sharing! *I also left out the oil to keep it lower fat and it was still great

I made it 2 nights ago, grated both the ginger and garlic into the tahini. Taste so good with the salad I had, just beware of garlic breath!!!

i had this over rice, cucumbers, onion and carrot.  yum!  i simply made this recipe in the same bottle as my homemade greek dressing (only had a little bit left, didint want to throw it away) so i guess that added in some apple cider vinegar and oregano.  yummy!
