Super Impressive Chocolate Banana Vegan Waffles
What you need:
2/3 cup whole wheat flour
2/3 cup vanilla nondairy milk (I use almond)
2 teaspoons brown sugar
1 teaspoon maple syrup
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 1/4 teaspoons baking powder
1 banana
1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil
1 1/2 teaspoons cocoa powder
What you do:
1. Mix all ingredients together.
2. Cook for about 3 minutes in a waffle iron.
I imagine adding walnuts would make them even better, but since I didn't have any on hand I can't vouch for them.
Hope you like these. Please leave me a comment telling me what you think. It's my first recipe and I'm proud.

SO HOW'D IT GO?
Best waffles I ever had! I did double the recipe though with the exception of the banana and the oil. I also added some crushed walnuts. I used a Belgium waffle iron so the cooking time was about 8 minutes. This doubled recipe made 3 Belgium waffles.
I wonder if you could make these into like pancakes or something, I don't own a waffle Iron, and don't need to be eating enough waffles to warrent me buying one. :-D What do you think, would it work?
These were fantastic! I added some chocolate chips and I think I made add a little more banana next time so that they hold together better.
These have a really great flavor! But the mixture was very runny and they all burnt in my waffle maker :( But I DID enjoy them! Thanks! And keep making recipes! :)
i was looking for a chocolate-banana waffle recipe and POOF there this was! well, i tried it, and it is wonderful! I topped it off with strawberries and a banana cream topping... (1/2 ripe banana, whipped with a little soy milk)... and it was deeelicious! I added 1 extra tsp of cocoa powder, and did 1/4 of the flour white... so it would be a little lighter... i had them again (just popped in the toaster) with melted raspberry jelly... and that is DEFINATELY the way to go... thanks : )
