Skordalia - A garlicky dip for bread

What you need: 

1 large head of garlic
4 potatoes, cooked and peeled
3 slices of bread, crusts removed
The juice of 3-4 lemons
1/2 cup olive oil

What you do: 

Combine the lemon juice, olive oil and some salt in a food processor. Add the garlic, peeled and crushed. Add potatoes. Wet the vegan bread and squeeze out the water. Add the vegan bread to the mixture. Puree. Serve with vegan pita bread or vegan crackers or french bread as a dip.

Are the potatoes boiled or baked?

I've never heard of this stuff before....it sounded good so i decided to make some. Since i've never had it before, i wasn't sure about the texture. Mine turned out slightly "doughy". Can someone please tell me if this is what is supposed to happen or did i screw somethibg up... ? The dip is delicious, though i am not a fan of the texture i got with mine. oh, i also added some dill! YUM.
