Simple Vegan Herb-Cheese Biscuits
What you need:
1 cup brown rice flour
1 cup white flour
1 cup soymilk
1/4 cup vegan butter
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon each crushed rosemary, basil, sage, thyme
1 clove garlic, minced
1/2 cup vegan cheddar cheese
What you do:
1) Preheat oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit.
2) Put all the ingredients in a bowl and mix by hand.
3) Drop onto a greased baking sheet and cook for 11 to 13 minutes.
*And, for even FASTER biscuits, substitute the flour and baking powder for 2 cups of Bisquick. The biscuits will taste a little different since Bisquick contains sugar and some other spices.
I've never tried this, but a friend swears by this faster method...

I forgot:
Add 5 tsp of baking powder to the dough!
Add 1 minced clove of garlic to the dough!
Mix about 3 Tbsp of melted vegan butter and 1 tsp of garlic powder, and brush on the cooling biscuits!
Yay!
I MADE THESE TWICE THE FIRST TIME I USED 5 TSP BAKING POWDER AND IT WAS WAY TO MUCH...THE SECOND TIME I USED 1 1/2 AND IT WAS JUST RIGHT ;)b
These are great even though I didn't add the baking powder because I didn't notice your comment until after they were in the oven! Oh well... it worked out great anyway. Thanks!
These sound alot like the garlic cheese biscuits from Red Lobster. yeah? Must try these soon!

I've made these several times and I've forgotten to take a picture every time! Argg... I've made a gluten-free version with 1 3/4 cups rice flour and 1/4 cup potato flour. Thank you for this nice flexible recipe.
