Nacho Cheeze Sauce

What you need:

1 red pepper, roasted, skinned, & seeded
1 1/2 cups roasted cashews
1 7-ounce can jalapeno peppers, drained
3/4 cup water
2/3 cup nutritional yeast flakes
1/4 cup olive oil
1/4 cup lemon juice
1 1/2 tablespoons tahini
1 1/2 tablespoons reduced sodium tamari sauce

What you do:

Throw everything in a blender and blend until creamy. You may want to add more water to get it to the right consistency. Warm gently on the stove and pour over corn chips or use in your vegan burritos or tacos. This stuff is addictive!

SO HOW'D IT GO?

This recipe is great! i made a few adjustments just to add a little flavor. First I toasted my cashews in peanut oil. I used fresh jalapenos instead of jar (unless our can standthe fire I suggest using only one pepper). I also added onion powder and minced garlic with a squirt of liquid aminos instead of salt. This sauce was a rave.

Try mixing in some salsa and you will feel bad when you look at the empty bowl that never made it out to the table  ???

Holeeeeeee crap!  This sauce was so hot!!  I couldn't find regular Jalapenos so I used a can of "red Jalapenos".  I don't know the difference but they are definetly HOT!!  Anyway, I like hot stuff so still awesome sauce, I'll make it again.
