Low Fat Low Cost Bean Burgers

What you need: 

Kidney beans (or any bean)

Burger buns (or wraps)

Bread crumbs (optional)

oil optional (optional)

sauce (optional)

spices (as desired)

What you do: 

1. Mash the beans together in a bowl. You can add any flavouring or spices desired. A liquid like tomato sauce can help mash the beans.

2. Put a large spoonful on a frying pan to form burger shapes. You have the option of sprinkling oil and breadcrumbs on the outside of the burgers.

3. Keep flipping the burgers carefully in order to cook fully on both sides.

4. Once the burgers are crisp on the outside and no longer crumbling, the burgers can be put on a bun or wrap and sauce can be added if desired
