Liquid Apple Pie

What you need: 

1 medium apple, peeled
1 small banana or a small pear, peeled*
1 teaspoon minced ginger
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 teaspoon lemon juice
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 tablespoon liquid sweetener of choice (optional)**
1 cup very hot water

What you do: 

1) Blend all ingredients together. Serve immediately because the drink is best when warm.
*For a banana-less version, replace it with a pear. **For a sweeter 'apple pie', add some liquid sweetener like maple syrup.
Source of recipe: I had a drink like this once at a restaurant called Fresh. I enjoyed it so much that I was determined to create my own version at home.

Tasty. I didn't peel my apple because my Vitamix gets it smooth enough for my tastes. I thought there was a tad too much cinnamon - I'll cut it to 3/4 tsp next time. Thanks!
