SO HOW'D IT GO?

I have to admit I was a little bit confused about the first step in the recipe--so  I just sauteed the garlic (which i minced) and the chickpeas together first in a little olive oil.  I also used fresh mint instead of dried because that's what I had.  For the pitas I just toasted some under the broiler and cut up into "chips".  I also only used 1 tsp of salt because that was salty enough.  Overall, I thought it was light and refreshing.  If i had to do it all over again I would probably not sautee the garlic with the chickpeas and just mix it in like the recipe says to, and  I might also throw in an extra clove or two for good measure.
