Farm-Style Oatmeal Cookies

What you need: 

2 cups packed Wholesome Sweetner brown sugar
1 cup vegan buttery spread
1/2 cup soy milk
1 teaspoon vanilla
4 cups rolled oats
1 3/4 cups whole wheat flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
carob or chocolate chips (optional)

What you do: 

Heat oven to 375 degrees.
Mix brown sugar, butter, soy milk and vanilla in large bowl.
Fold in remaining ingredients.
Shape dough into 1-inch balls. Place about 3 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet.
Bake 8-10 minutes or until golden brown.

SO HOW'D IT GO?

These turned out really tasty.  However, I was only able to get a few of them off the sheets in one piece.  The rest of them just crumbled. 

Sorry to hear that :(  I've been modifying the recipe with almost half the butter, subbing it with half oil, half applesauce.  I also put a little bit of vinegar in the bottom of the measuring cup before I pour in the soy milk to make vegan buttermilk.  I also half the sugar, and subtract a cup of oatmeal.  Just some pointers!  :)
