Easy Skillet Chocolate Brownie Pancakes

What you need:

1/2 cup oats
2 to 4 tablespoons cocoa
1/4 teaspoon baking powder
2 tablespoons whole wheat flour
1 tablespoon sugar
1 to 2 teaspoons cinnamon, optional
1 to 2 tablespoons carob powder, optional
dash nutmeg, optional
chocolate chips, as desired, optional
1/2 cup nondairy milk (I use soy)
1/2 to 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
oil, as needed for skillet

What you do:

1. Mix dry ingredients and chocolate chips in a bowl and then add milk, mixing to incorporate. Stir in vanilla. The mixture should be thick. If dry, add a tablespoon of water or milk to adjust.
2. Let sit for a few minutes. Heat an oiled skillet over medium heat. Add batter and spread evenly in skillet, the thicker it is the gooey-er the insides will be.
3. Cook until side facing down in browned and then flip and cook other side.
Source of recipe: I made this as a pancake recipe but decided to add chocolate.

SO HOW'D IT GO?

This sounds good and easy. Is it hard to flip it considering it's thick? Plus when you flip it do you just cook the 2nd side until brown also? Thanks. :)
