Easy BBQ "Chicken" Pizza
1 premade pizza dough (16 ounces, I get mine at Trader Joe's)
flour, if needed for rolling
Granulated garlic, to sprinkle
Olive oil
Salt
1 package (9 ounces) of BBQ "chicken" (I use Trader Joe's chicken-less pulled chicken in BBQ sauce)
BBQ sauce to cover crust
1/4 red onion, sliced thinly
Cilantro, to taste
1-2 cups vegan cheese (Daiya or Follow Your Heart, as much as you like)
1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees F. Roll out pizza dough to the shape of the pan you are using. You may need some additional flour to keep the dough from sticking to your rolling pin, and the surface you are rolling it out on.
2. I use a casserole dish to cook the pizza. Add a little olive oil to your pan and then the pizza dough. Sparingly sprinkle granulated garlic and salt on the pizza dough. Add your BBQ "chicken" and BBQ sauce (use as much as you like, but a little goes a long way).
3. Add onions and cilantro and lastly your cheese. Place in the oven and cook until your pizza dough starts to brown on the bottom. Remove from the oven and allow to cool for about 5 minutes. Cut and serve.
It's that easy and so yummy! I hope you love it! As an alternative to using raw onions I sometimes caramelize a whole red or yellow onion and add that to the pizza. This is also very yummy.
Source of recipe: I came up with this recipe when I wanted BBQ "chicken" pizza but didn't have any where to purchase it. This is a favorite in my house.
SO HOW'D IT GO?
