Vegan Tofu Pizza with Any and All Veggies!

What you need:

Pizza dough (your choice)
14 oz tofu
1 6 oz can tomato paste
1 tablespoon olive oil
1/2 tablespoon pepper
1/2 tablespoon crushed red pepper flakes
1 tablespoon garlic powder (or more, to your liking)
1/2 tablespoon herbs (basil, oregano, rosemary, etc)
veggie toppings of your choice (mushrooms, tomatoes, bell pepper, onion, fresh garlic, etc)
pizza sauce (either a jar version or below I posted how I make my own easy sauce!) Pizza Sauce
large can crushed tomatoes
1/2 tablespoon each: basil, oregano, pepper, salt, garlic powder (or fresh crushed garlic)
2 tablespoon sugar (any kind of sweetener of your choice)
1/2 small onion diced
small carrot chopped into tiny pieces
1/2 tablespoon olive oil

What you do:

This pizza is different than most pizzas where the sauce goes on the top rather than the bottom. We used to have it like this at a local pizza place (that's no longer there) and It was fabulous, so we had to try it. We love it!
To make the sauce:1. Saute carrots and onion (and fresh garlic if you're using fresh garlic) in olive oil. 2. Once onions are translucent, add the remaining sauce ingredients and saute for 10-12 mins.
To make the tofu spread:1. Drain the tofu and crumble into a mixing bowl2. Add tomato paste, spices, and olive oil3. Stir
Making the Pizza:1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees Fahrenheit (or whatever temperature your dough requires).2. Roll out your dough in a pizza style on pizza pan or cookie sheet3. Spread the tofu mixture on the dough4. After cutting up the veggies, spread them all over the tofu mixture on the Pizza5. Place in oven + cook for 10 minutes6. Take out and spread sauce over the top of the veggie/tofu medley 7. I usually sprinkle a dash of black pepper, crushed red pepper flakes, garlic powder and oregano on the sauce8. Place back in oven and bake for another 6-8 minutes. Or until your dough is crispy and browned. 9. Take out and slice up. 10. EAT IT UP!
Source of recipe: I found the recipe for the Tofu Spread mixture in a library book. Can't remember which one. The rest of the pizza was just adapted from my own fun in the kitchen.

SO HOW'D IT GO?

Me again.  ;)bGood pizza. But It was a little heavy for me (too much weight in the middle and made it sag). Id say either make a really thick and big pizza crust or spread this amoung 2 or so pizzas.
Otherwise it was  :)>>>yum
