Vegan Grilled Cheese

Ingredients (use vegan versions):

soy cheese (1 or 2 per sandwich or slice up some block soy cheese)
    Vegenaise
    soy butter
    some oil Smiley

Directions:

This is very simple.
Spread the veganaise inside both slices of vegan bread.
Put the cheese inside the two vegan breads.
Butter the outside of the vegan breads.
Fry if up on medium or whatever in some oil.

WALA yummmmmmy!!

This is also good with a spicy seasoned mayonnaise.  I usually mix one up with a variety of spices, garlic, and hot sauce.  I grill my sandwich with a good vegan margarine like Earth Balance.  Additions like mushrooms and peppers are always good, but the basic cheese sandwich is always a winner!

I love grilled cheese sandwiches with soup! I used Rice Cheese (it melts well) and Nayonaise.

I like some grilled onions and mushrooms with a couple of paper thin slices of tomato on my grilled cheeses.

Most rice cheese has milk products in it.  That's why it melts.  I don't know if your vegan or not, but if you are I though you may like to know that.

I found Tofutti brand American soy slices... Perfect for grilled cheese. Then I just use whatever margerine I have on hand for each side of the outside of the bread and grill it up! Simple and tasty dinner. I never use the veganaise, though...
Yummy with some kind of tomato soup, too.
