Weekly Giveaway: Belt from The Vegan Collection! Mernie is the winner!

Okay, try as I might, I can't make this giveaway mesh with the theme of the newsletter. No biggie, it's a totally awesome giveaway, so that more than makes up for it, right? Plus, free stuff is the best stuff! So, you know how finding a great vegan belt is impossible? Well, thanks to The Vegan Collection, it's not only possible, it's easy! They've created a line of gorgeous belts that make you feel like a million bucks. Or, at least keep your pants up. That's good too!

For a chance to win one of these fantastic pants-keeping-up belts, let me know what you're serving at your next dinner party.

Giveaway ends on Tuesday, March 1st at midnight, PST! Winner will be chosen at random! Must live in USA to win.

Good luck!

I don't know when my next dinner part is, but I made baby bok choy with crispy shallots and seasame seeds from Veganomicon for my last one!

My place is too small for a dinner party, but if I could I would cook up a lot of appetizers, some cocktails, and a big casserole of vegan lasagna stuffed with marinated veggies... MMM. OH, and dessert too duh!

I totally know what I will be serving at my next dinner party and that is "My Kind of Meatloaf" courtesy of Robin Robertson. The recipe can be found in her 1000 Vegan Recipes cookbook, which I HIGHLY recommend.  It was the most awesome meal I have ever had!  It calls for a mushroom gravy, and the recipe is included in the book, but I was too lazy to make it.  I just used a vegan mix that I found at my local whole foods market, and it worked perfectly!  Happy Dining

Hmm.. if I was one to throw dinner parties, I think I'd definitely make some tempeh tacos and mexican rice. :)

Main:  Sausage Cassoulet with minted new potatoes and asparagus
Dessert: Individual key lime pies with vanilla infused coconut whipped cream

Wow, I've never actually had a dinner party, so let me see what I think I might serve; Spinach Coconut Chickpea Curry over brown & wild rice is always a hit with vegans & non-vegans alike. I think I actually got the recipe on VegWeb, but I added chickpeas to it & it makes a lovely addition. I am dying to try a vegan peanut butter pie & I have a recipe for it, so that is probably what I would serve for dessert. I'm getting hungry just thinking about it!

I'm not sure when my next dinner party will be, but I'll probably serve my special veggie/tofu lasagna-type casserole.

My parties always involve a lot of preschoolers. My next one is gonna be a tea party, so tea sandwiches for sure, prob. dip and veggies, crescent roll-ups w/ spinach and cream cheese, and cupcakes baked in teacups?

I've never organized a dinner party, but if I did I think I would make something like chili and cornbread or a pasta dish that I thought would be omni-friendly.

Pizza! I love to make vegan pizza for omnis, because they are so SHOCKED that it's incredibly delish. It doesn't hurt that I make everything from scratch and use crazy expensive Daiya.

I will make Cheesy Lasagna, a big green salad containing lots of raw vegetables, and some whole wheat rolls.  For dessert I will do either vegan chocolate cake or the chocolate peanut butter cups.
