Superstar VegWebber of the Week: faunablues!

faunablues (http://vegweb.com/index.php?action=profile;u=22718) is a genius. I am totally making green cookies with matcha for St. Patrick's Day. GENIUS! In fact, I am too excited about this and I have a 15 minute break right now so I'm running to the store to buy some. Seriously. GENIUS! Read all about what a freakin' genius she is below and then let her know how she's a genius in the comments! Or just that she's awesome and we love having her around :)

VegWebber since? 2003, but lurking since 2000

Vegetarian, Vegan or ?? vegan

Where do you call home? Los Angeles

What do you do when you're not on VegWeb? I try stuff so that I can review it on VegWeb. I also go to school.

Do you have blog or website? Nah...

Do you tweet? I signed up, and then some random people subscribed to me, and... yeah. I've never so much as "tweeted."

One unique thing should know about you? I have to resist the urge to make references to Superman media that no one will understand.

What’s the best thing about being vegan? Surprising doctors with your fantastic cholesterol levels. And when growing up, having siblings jealous over your "special vegan food."

Favorite romantic recipe on VegWeb? ... romantic? Banana Bread http://vegweb.com/index.php?topic=5715.0 , because that's my boyfriend's favorite food evar.

Favorite recipe on VegWeb to make for non-vegans to show them how amazing vegan food can be? I guess it would be Just Like Granny B's Sugar Cookies, because that's the one I use most often to impress non-vegans ^_^

Any favorite St. Patrick's Day recipes? ... the above sugar cookies made with green food coloring? NO, made with MATCHA! Yes.

One thing you wish you could make vegan but haven’t succeeded at yet? It's already vegan, but I've had trouble at making mochi. I think I'll just buy it from now on...

#1 Cooking secret/tip? when in doubt, follow the directions.

Best music to cook by? swing music.

Three people you'd most like to have dinner with? those people who take the good photos of food on vegweb. I want to eat their food!

All time favorite restaurant? I don't really have an all-time, but my current favorite is Happy Family, a vegetarian Chinese restaurant in Rowland Heights.

French fries or ice cream? Ice cream, all the way. Purely Decadent Chunky Mint Madness.

Soy milk, rice milk, almond milk? Soy milk (esp Vitasoy), but I keep hearing things about this Silk Almond milk...

Tempeh, tofu or seitan? Seitan. tofu's cool; tempeh can die.

yay! congrats! good idea w/ the matcha...I usually use a mix of blueberry juice and turmeric to make green, but matcha sounds easier and would probably add some good taste.
