Whats your favorite store bought cereal?

When I went on my crash diet at first all I ate was cereal.... Then I realized the calories to amount of food ratio was actually pretty crappy.  I then stopped eating it for a while but now I have it on occasion.
So my question is what are your favorite store bought cereals?  Mine are:
Kashi Go Lean High Protein & High Fiber Cereal (I just found this a few weeks ago and love it!)
Shreaded Wheat (I prefer the plain but I still like the frosted)
Raisin Bran (tons of sugar but its a delicious classic)

Organic Vitabrits topped with a tablespoon of LSA and drowned in soy milk plus when in season chopped up strawberries and/or bananas! Yummo!! ;)

before i knew about General Mills & their D3, I liked: cocoa puffs, reeses puffs, fruity cheerios

but now I have moved on to fruity pebbles and cocoa pebbles. yes, still incredibly healthy  :P

i go in and out of cereal phases. for a week i'll be like "CEREAL!!!" and then hate it again. usually this happens before i can finish a box  ::)

I love shredded wheat - but I avoid Nestlé at all costs due to the babymilk fiacso so don't eat it.  Some of the supermarkets in the UK do an own brand version, but not many.

There's also a yummy maple and pecan crunch cereal that Asda (unfortunately part of Walmart) do that is ok for vegans.  Nom nom nom.

I  haven't bothered w/ cereal too often because home-made almond milk is expensive and I try not to use TOO much soy. But Optimum Zen, Cranberry Ginger, that stuff is soo tasty.

And, of course, there are the guilty pleasrues like plain Cheerios, Corn Pops, Froot Loops/Trix... Okay, I can't think about this anymore, I'm starting to crave the stuff! lol!

(Oh, for the record, shredded wheat's frosting often contains gelatin... There are generic brands that don't have gelatin in the frosting, or ones w/out frosting).

I miss marshmallowy cereal. :(

I like the Organic Farms Gorilla Munch cereal I buy for my kids. It tastes just like Captin Crunch to me but it only has three ingredients. Organic corn meal, organic evaporated cane juice, sea salt.

I usually eat oatmeal, but I used to love Bumpers, which taste just like cocoa puffs.  I hope they are vegan cause now I really want some!!

Multi grain cheerios was my favorite growing up. Among other reasons, I thought it was great with orange juice. I didn't get the courage to try soy milk until college, so my high school breakfast was often a bowl of multi-grain cheerios with orange juice subbing the milk. And this was the ONLY cereal that I tried where this worked. (sadly, it looks like multi-grain cheerios isn't vegan either.)

I went for awhile in grad school where my cereal of choice was Kashi Good Friends--the sticks-and-twigs cereal. With soymilk. I really hate mushy boxed breakfast cereal, and this could sit in milk forever (in fact, it was better after sitting just a bit) and not get mushy. The cinnamon-raisin version of this is good too.

Now if I do cereal I just take from my gigantic, generic thing of quick oats. Add soy milk, bananas, cinnamon, and a sprinkling of sugar.

Vitamin D3, or cholecalciferol, is a cholesterol-derived prohormone (and since cholesterol only comes from animals, it's inherently an animal product). It's also made in your own skin from sun exposure (or in the case of the food additive, it's the fat in sheep's hair. Some animals make vitamin D on their fur/hair because sunlight won't penetrate to the skin). Vitamin D2 (the other source of vitamin D fortification) is ergocalciferol, a fungus-derived sterol. Both forms can be activated by the body.

which animals does the vitamin d not penetrate to their skin?  I visited an alpaca farm and they and many other animals lay on their backs to get vit d through their skin

not sure - read it off wikipedia =D But I imagine the reason why there's D3 on the wool is because sheep are one of those animals. Another guess would be otters, since there's some crazy factoid that they have like 1 million hairs per square inch  :o

Mesa Sunrise, closely followed by Koala Crisps.

...sometimes I partake of a shameful bowl of Froot Loops or Fruity Cheerios.

i LOVE LOVE LOVE KASHI brand almost anything!

and i'm glad someone said something about the D3 thing.. because, to be honest, i had no idea that was not vegan. or even um... a naturally occuring component of plants.

Trader Joe's Oat and Wheat Bran Swirls (I think that's their name). They come in an orange and white box and are amaaazing. And possibly not terrible for you?
