I tried voting but the survey just kept stopping randomly and would go back to the main page.

I tried voting but the survey just kept stopping randomly and would go back to the main page.

it did that to me once, but then I managed to get through it....
even though I have little knowledge of many of the places/things we were voting for....

I wrote in vegweb for my favorite site... I didn't realize that it wasn't listed as a choice because vegnews listed it a choice for favorite part of vegnews. so then I voted for it again. And I voted for vegansaurus and ask laura of course!  I haven't actually read vegnews since december probably but I have a stack of issues waiting for me back in the states and I can't wait to read them! and i want to win one of those awesome prizes!!

I had no idea what most of the stuff was, but voted and wrote in my own answers half the time.
A question though, are those of us outside the states eligible for the prizes?

ha, I just guessed or voted for the only one of the options I had actually heard of  : )

some options I just left blank.
some of them I just clicked options I'd heard of.. but I left a lot blank mostly because I didn't want anything to falsely win, if you know what I mean "/

I wonder how many people/places/products win just because people put anything? I've never heard of most of that stuff either and I remember voting previous years as well and it was the same way.

That was fun!
Since moving in with James, I've gotten to try a lot more vegan "indulgence" foods (faux cheeses, etc.) and lots of other products I wouldn't have tried otherwise, which makes voting on all these different options more challenging but way more fun...

I *almost* voted for Laughing Seed in Asheville for best veg restaurant, but I had to give props (again) to Red Avocado in Iowa City. It's still, hands down, the best vegan eatery I've been to.

and I love how kombucha is listed under "favorite vegan tipple." I totally voted for that one.....and THEN got to learn that someone actually makes a Yerba Mate IPA.  :o must. find. mate beer.

carrot_wench, I want to eat at Red Avocado SO BADLY. If I ever win the lottery, I am using that money to travel to every vegan eatery on that list. I'll do it, I swear!

I keep trying to hit the vegan restaurants that wind up on VegNews annual lists but since it changes like every year, I am making no forward progress! And I have hit quite a few!  Gah!

Oh well, I also voted the first day this was out. heheh

You're so honest! That's great! That's why I stopped halfway through and didn't submit the survey...I didn't know half the options! lol
