I am celebrating my two-year anniversary (or veganniversary) since going vegan this week. How should I celebrate? Does anyone else remember their veganniversary?

Mine is on August 27th (coming up!!) and I would suggest celebrating with lots of vegan baking. Especially cookies or cupcakes. :) Congrats on your two year veganniversary!

I just celebrated my one year being meat-free so I can definitely feel your excitement! Congrats to you!! ;)b I celebrated by patting myself on my back and took myself out on a date. Whatever you choose, I hope your success is multiplied by hundred!

I don't really know when mine is, which kind of makes me sad. It all happened so gradually that I don't even remember the month. I know it was autumn time, because where we were living. One day I just sat up and realized I'd been vegan for a while (food wise--everything else still came later). I should make a date up to have that special day!

My one year vegannaiversary is the end of October. I'm not sure what I will be doing to celebrate though. Maybe splurge and go to the vegan resturant in town and then make a nice dessert.

My three-year vee-gan aniversary was August 18. I celebrated the next day at Real Food Daily in Santa Monica with a special vegan. Delicious kelp noodle dish and a banana cream tart topped with the fluffiest whipped cream I've ever tasted.

I go by the year because mine was kind of like VR's. I didn't decide to at a specific date, I was just vegan and like most people I started out as a vegetarian. Anyway, 2011 will be my 9th veganniversary (that's vee-gan :P). I'm excited for double digits!!!!

my vee-gan-iversary is on July 10 (last july makes 10 years for me). and i suppose the 'vegetarianniversary' would be April 6 (12 years). I totally missed it this year. Usually I go out somewhere vegan. Cooking/baking is a usual event for me, so taking a break from making dessert or something is my treat.

I dont remember when I went 'vegan'. I do recall giving up meat, milk, eggs.. when I was 15? early 16? I ate organic local raw farmhouse red leicester while in scotland in 2004(?) I dont think I have a pinnacle date.
As odd as I am now, I dont have refrigeration, no stove..kitchen. So I prepare two or three raw meals, eat at whole foods for lunch and pick up veggies/fruit for a day or two and eat nuts, seeds, dried fruit. Ive oddly acclimated to this lifestyle. Completely on the go.

I went vegetarian around January, I think, so this coming January it will be four years! Wow. To think I managed a year of that in Russia, too.
