A Poll... (With whom would you have dinner?)

We haven't had a poll for a while.
If you could have dinner with any famous or well-known vegetarian, who would that person be, and where would you want to have dinner?
It's too early for me to think of an answer. I haven't finishe'd my coffee yet. ::)
I went here for a list: http://www.ivu.org/people/
First I was going to pick Chrissie Hynde because she's to inspire me more towards an animal-free diet and to talk music because I'm a fan. She is still putting out good music after many years in the biz.
But then I decided to go with Thich Nhat Hanh, who'se writings about peace, love and mindfulness inspire me.
That is such a tough one.
It would be a toss up between the Dalai Lama, Thoreau, da Vinci and Moby.
Joquin Phoenix at my house -- but I wouldn't want my husband there! ;)
My choice for the FIRST dinner (have to have more than one!) would be Ben Franklin. He was such a hoot anyway, and I teach US History at a community college - he'd be a great resource for what really went on and good dirt
Okay Tweety, how did you get the glowy font in red on your post? I keep selecting buttons and they just put stuff in my text in brackets - see above.
Nt.

You've almost got it Red
Hit the button and type what you want inbetween the two brackets. If you want to do two things like glow and move, then hit the glow button and cut that, then hit the move button and paste the glow in it.
Type in between the two center brackets
Exactly like Tweety said. You have to put the words between the "tags". So if you want it to be Red and Bold you have To type between both sets of tags. Without the spaces in them of course!
The easiest way for me to format is to type something, then select everything that I want with the mouse and then push the button for the effect.
Also a good thing to do is to Preview, to verify if the formatting worked or not.
Dalai Lama, anything, anytime, anywhere. :)
Can you believe I actually had a chance to listen in on an interview with Moby and I passed it up? My brother in law worked for a college radio station back in the day and got to interview him. I was too nervous, and so I didn't get on the bus, literally. The interview took place on the tour bus.
Am I lame or what?
So, I'd have to say I'd love to have lunch with Moby, because I blew the chance before, and he's really cool, and I do like his music an awful lot. His "Feelin' So Real" song was the anthem of my circle of friends. The DJ at our wedding played it in an awesome dance mix. It ruled.

I forgot to answer my own question before...so here goes. I would choose Woody Harrelson...I think he's off the wall and just pretty cool. Moby and Joquin would be close seconds. 8)
ok... me and Morrissey would go to Beetroot, Soho, London
plese can it happen??!!
pleaseeese.....
;D
I'd choose Alicia Silverstone... Semi-lame, I know, but I thought she was the bees knees when I was younger, AND since then she has become very involved in her veganism. Plus, she's a foodie (like me), so we could chat about a topic I love!
joaquin phoenix all the way, baby. oh man, i'd love to bump into him at some vegan-friendly ny shop...i'd probably do a backwards flip :)

His smoking would be a huge turn off. Also he struggles with alcholism. I wish him well.
He is rather a fine specimen of a man to look at though. :)
Franz Kafka, if he were alive. Although I'd quite likely bore him with philosophical questions regarding "The Metamorphosis" and he would leave before dessert.
Well I went to the link that Tweety posted and I have to say Rikki Rockett from Poison. I am a huge 80's metal freak. Either him or Billy Idol, who I didn't even know was a vegetarian.
I'd have dinner with Anna Paquin! She's the actress in True Blood and she was in X-Men! ;D She's a veggie!!!
Wow, Yeatsa, you pulled up a 2006 thread. That is kind of jarring.
More like a blast from the past.
Edit: While we are here:
1) Joss Whedon because I want to pick his screenwriting mind.
2) Olivia Wilde because everyone wants to have dinner at some point with an emerald eyed princess.
Yay! The thread has been resurrected! ;)b
