A little help from my vegan friends!

Can anyone give me some feed back about the Dixie Diners' club products?  What's good?  What's great?  I am newly vegan (6 months) and went straight from eating meat / animal products to becoming vegan over night.  This sight had been fabulous.  I'm tired of spending $ on products I don't like.  Any info could help, thank you!  :D

I have used a lot of it.  I have only had the vegan meat alternatives, no muffin mixes or anything like that because I'd rather make it myself. My favorite is the deli chops Not!  I have had a sample pack of the "Carver's Cuts" and found that they really do not call for enough water to get soft with the ones that have a gravy to it.

Don't bother with the chicken breast NOT! because you can get those at healthy-eating.com for a lot less money.

Speaking of which, healthy-eating.com has several types of "soy concentrate" that they sell as TVP, but I can tell you they really aren't TVP. I don't like the flavored ones, especially dislike the soy beaf.  The plain unflavored ones are a lot better and you can simmer in your own flavors when you reconstitute them.  I found them to be cheaper than Dixie Diner.  They also carry a lot of other things, including agar flakes, powdered soymilk, Red Star nutritional yeast and EnerG egg replacer.  You can order perishables from them, but I never have.  They have it so that you can look at the amount of shipping based on how much you spent and you can go back to your order and adjust, i.e. if you have to pay shipping on $80 and you have only racked up $70 you can add up to $80 and get your shipping dollars' worth.  I am admittedly a fan of this place.

If you are after sushi rice and nori sheets, wasabi, pickled ginger, and many other Oriental products, go here:  http://www.orientalpantry.com/shopping_cart_functions/view_item.phtml?title_image=hd_groceries.gif&item_no=3831226
This place will also ship you a case of silken tofu if you can't get it in your area.

I am a long ways from a big enough city to get the stuff I want.  I can't see driving for 3 hours, then driving all over Denver trying to find this here and that there and ohhh your store in Littleton has it? and driving THERE.  The last time I went to Denver after things it was stuff I could not get mail order or locally, which is another matter.  I drove over the whole of the west Denver for 4 hours in traffic to get it all and I got quite a stock, but you see what I am saying.  UPS and the USPS are going to run whether I order or not.  They run those big trucks full or only half full.  My big boxes don't matter that much, I don't think. Perhaps I am justifying, but when faced with driving to try to find something versus online shopping at 2 in the morning and having time to think about what I am getting and change my mind a couple of times...I'll choose to have it shipped in trucks that are running regardless.

So that is my overly long, I have a migraine and it is not 5 a.m. yet spiel.  I am sorry!
