Am I the only one that really hates Halloween?

I went to school as a "farmer." Good excuse to wear overalls and  hair in braids.

But it wasn't really a costume.

Aw how can you guys hate Halloween?? Personally, I'm a glass half full kind of gal!
It's mostly a holiday for kids to dress up and get free candy, but ...if you have kids you get to sneak some of their candy too!
If you're the creative type, you can make costumes, for yourself (or your kids) or friends (or their kids).
If you like a cute-fix you can go "AWWWW" at all the babies dressed as skunks or bumble bees!
If you're a fan of scary movies, Halloween night makes them a bit more entertaining!
And for just the adults, what better time to step outside your shell and normal day-to-day routine and just be something else for just one day?
:)>>>

Save that hate for Valentine's Day!!

I remember when From Autumn to Ashes was an awesome band.

I was thinking about it last night, and I decided that it's a pretty cool holiday in which people take the trouble to give away candy to make strangers' children happy.

If you like a cute-fix you can go "AWWWW" at all the babies dressed as skunks or bumble bees!

I saw a couple of skunk babies last night.  In fact a lot of my trick-or-treaters were babies who didn't know what was going on.  They were cute, but I like it better when the kids are actually into it.

There was very tired little Dorothy riding on her young father's shoulders.  I said "Dorothy!" and her dad lifted up one of her little ruby-slippered feet and said "Look at the shoes!  Aren't they great?"  I thought that was adorable.

I ran out of mini-oreos to give out and I had to close up and turn off the lights early.  :(

I don't even know if they are still making music? I used to love them. I loved Too Bad You're Beautiful. I remember them not being so great live, though. Meh.

I have a limited understanding of zombies but if I remember correctly, in the Land of the Dead they were taught how to access some limited brain functions, which may have included speech. I think you are lucky to have made it home with your brains.

;)b

I'm not really that big of a fan of Halloween..I mean no more/less than any other holiday...but it was a nice chance to do something different at work.

Kids are definitely cute.

Trick or treating with a vegan toddler is a pain in the ass. My daughter is obsessed with a bag of skittles. She knows we're "beegan", and knows we don't drink cows milk, eat chickens or fishes, but beyond that it's pretty blurry. Sigh.

I love Halloween! I love to dress up, wear wigs, big makeup. However, I tend to procrastinate when it comes to finding a costume. This year, I dressed up as Québec's Sovereignty. I wore a flag, blue wig and a tiara. However, I had to explain to people my costume. They thought I was dressed as Miss Québec or something. Others were like, but you're not a Separatist... Come on people, a friend of mine dressed up as a demon, doesn't mean she worships Satan. Puh-leeze.

I am eating chocolate covered coffee beans right now. I will not be tolerable this afternoon, too bad for my coworker!

I work with a bunch of losers.  They sent around an e:mail with a choice of 5 ideas of costumes and asked people to vote on which they'd like to dress as.  50's Grease style won.  Which was cool since I love the movie and thought it would be easy to pull together a costume.  So thursday night I go to the thrift store and Joann Fabrics and get the stuff for my costume.  I show up friday at work wearing a poofy skirt, white shirt, a black letterman sweater I made, a scarf tied around my neck, bobbi socks and a ribbon in my hair.  No one else dressed up (except one guy who came looking like a T-Bird) so I spent the whole day with people coming around to my cubicle staring and asking me to twirl around to see my skirt billow out.  Losers all of them!!!

dAY-UM, Cappie!
You look reeeallly good! and worry not, Your thighs are officially slimmer (or at least slimmer-looking) than mine, and that's not so easy to pull off since You're a shorty!  ;D  but seriously, You look damn good, lady.

I had another fun makeup gig today!
last night I was a creepy burn victim working the ovens at Psycho Shack haunted house (see new avatar)...and today I was an undead victim of strangulation for a TFP photo shoot! I had so much fun....I'll get images to add to my portfolio by helping the photographer with his project/portfolio. It's a win-win groovy sitch.

I'll have photos up here very soon!
