1.  You must have been active on the forums for at least 6 months OR have 1,000 posts.  If you've been here a while you're more likely to send out your package.

2.  Don't flake on your partner, just like you wouldn't want your partner to flake on you.  If you're unsure whether you'll have time/money to get a package together, don't sign up.

3.  Bring it!  Don't send out something crappy!

4.  Homemade and/or store bought goodies are welcome.

5. This is an ALL VEGAN exchange.

salad dressing (vinaigrettes or with "mayo"), sauces, ... anywhere you'd use chiles or chile paste.

I have some recipes from Viva Vegan! that use it; I'mma send them to you :)

the package for my giftee will be on its way Monday, it's been crazy here, my wife had to have emergency surgery and then my aunt passed away.  But i have not forgotten about my giftee

OMG THHF!!!!

awesome package!
-The first thing I saw was taking charge of your fertility which I have been wanting to buy ( I have read it but want it for reference... I checked it out from the library)... I get my IUD out TUESDAY and have been charting this month and as I read that book 2 years ago I forgot a lot and had questions. YAY! That alone seriously made the package awesome.
- Then the produce bags, which will be super nice as I generally just hand farmers rounds of things to weight on the scale. It will be so nice to use those.
- Cleaning cloth= SWEET! I'm totally going to try that on the tub in a minute.
-All the hand made stuff: An awesome bag that I can adjust the straps on to use how I please... Awesome! And I love the little "tag" you did on the inside!, The shirt and necklace! Haven't tried them on yet I just wanted to thank you first, I'm sure they're great.

The only thing I didn't understand was the empty envelope ??? I had one with a card in it and one that was empty with my addy on it.

I love everything, seriously great! I will try to take pics in a minute and put them up!

I am so glad you like it. The t-shirt looks so cute on you. I had never done a hand painted shirt before. The tag was a last minute afterthought that I thought would be cutesy. I tried to be creative since you don't eat junk and you have access to far more cool food stuffs than I do. The empty envelope was because the postman said you should always put the address inside the box as well in case something happens to the box. (?)  I said whatever and wrote it on an envelope and stuck it in there. ???

Everyone is so creative with their gifting.  I am so impressed.  I may have a gift giver inferiority complex.  :o I mailed my package out this morning and the post office man said about three days...so I guess Monday probably.  I soooo hope my person likes it. **crosses fingers**

omg you had nothing to worry about.

whoa awesome packages, guys!  : )

dear my person,

I really hope the contents of your package are not manky/squished/in other way ruined by their lengthy and slow trip to you!
Also, if you're confused about my 'unique' use of plastic containers, I was trying to save on weight and fragility by not using glass...

dear my person - I now realise that all the goodies I've sent you have probably gone off / squidgy.  I may have kept some and 'tested' them over the weekend and they were not good.

same to my person - I'm not sure you should eat what I made....it's been a pretty long time...

I know! I really thought my person should have got their package by Saturday! Now, I don't think things will be rotten, but maybe stale and dry. Nuts! Must be a busy mail time of year?

THHF, that shirt is hand-painted?!?! SHUT UP
now my gifter-inferiority-complex is about 100 times worse. oof.
Y'all are awesome at this.

Aww! All the packages look so nice.

I hope my giftee likes what I sent...although it is mostly sugar...haha.  8)

I just hope everything doesn't get completely crumpled and squished by the time it gets there...whenever that is.

Just wanted to say that I haven't forgotten about posting pics. I need my hubby's help and it's been a crazy weekend, culmanating with our car breaking down yesterday. I WILL get pics up, just not sure how soon.

SHELLOID!  THANK YOU!

The postman didn't knock or anything, even though I was home and my front door was open, he just left it on the porch.  So I don't know how long it sat there, but when I went to shut the door there was a package!

https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-tbNWLWxTDuU/Tb_ZbEdv42I/AAAAAAAAAG4/NQcASTqCuYU/s288/IMG_4098.JPG

Shelloid gave me:

a beautiful NZ tea towel (I needed a new tea towel and I love the colours!)
whittakers dark mocha chocolate
some fried tofu that I can't wait to use ("vegetarian flavor")
homemade brownies
a chocolate crunch rabbit
homemade coconut macaroons
homemade sun dried tomato and olive biscotti (savoury biscotti...that has never occurred to me before)
homemade gingerbread biscotti
chocolate fish
jelly tots (they look kinda like gumdrops from the picture on the package)
a ginger/almond/date bar

Awesome package, right?

...but wait, there's more...

Vegan Brunch is on its way!  I'm so excited about all of it!  I've tried a brownie and the tomato and olive biscotti (btw, those are the puke cookies...but they're not puke-like at all) and both were delicious!  Thank you so much!  :)>>>

Also, when I first opened the box, Hugo was trying really hard to get into it.  Maybe he could smell Gary?  Or maybe he just really likes biscotti.  ::)

ETA: Just ate a macaroon and it was amazing as well!
