Frustration

Have you ever experiment having meat in a plate that wasn't supposed to contain meat?
It never happened to me until this week, where I discovered that the imperial rolls that I ordered and ate about a month before were made with shrimps and chicken, when I clearly asked the waiter before if it contain any animal products.
Also, I went to a pasta restaurant and ordered the pesto linguinis and there were some vegetables in it, I ate them aud I ate a piece of bacon without knowing it wat that (I was really hungry, I ate the plate without observing it), founding that the texture was strange and after I saw an other piece il my plate and realised what I've done and I was completely disgusted
I didn't know what to do, there is not really a thing to do once you swallowed it. I just felt like crying.
Did it ever happened to you? What did you do? How did you feel?

I happens sometimes, but it's not the end of the world.  You're intentions are pure and innocent.

But it does make you angry doesn't it?  Some vegans get physically ill when they accidentally eat meat so it's not an acceptable thing to happen.

I know it's not the end of the word, I won't die of that, but yes, it makes me angry and sad.
Do you know if vegans who eat meat and get physically ill get ill when they know they eat it or they get ill even when they don't know it ?
So is it physical or psychological?
thank you for the reply :-)

I've never gotten physically ill from accidentally eating meat, but I have from accidentally eating dairy, whether I knew about it after the fact or not.

Probably a little of both...some peopel say they are so used to not eating meat that their bodies become ill when they accidentally ingest meat.  Some other folks I know it's in their head because if meat didn't make them sick before it shouldn't make them sick if accidentally eating in minute amounts.

Most vegans are so passionate about their lifestyle that eating meat is so repulsive it's natural they would get some physical symptoms like nausea and a sick feeling.

This just happened to me recently – although it was certainly not the first time.  There is a Chinese food place that serves a vegan menu.  Been going there for years.  Everytime I ate there I would have digestive issues.  But I just figured it might be from all the oil.  Found chicken in my vegan lo mein (by eating it).  Will never go there again.  I equate it to finding a cockroach in my food.  It is disgusting & unacceptable.  And yes, I felt very ill afterwards.  Not sure if it is psychological or physical – I don’t think it matters.  I shouldn’t have to throw up after spending my hard earned money on a so-called vegan dinner.  I’m not very trusting of Asian restaurants in general anymore.  I’ve ordered too many vegan things only to have them taste like pork fat or fish after they assured me that were absolutely no animal products in it.  Can you tell I’m still pissed??

Eating in restaurants has become too much of a chore.  Not enjoyable at all unless it is a vegetarian restaurant.
