i have never seen truffled salt :(
That's...interesting. I never thought of deep frying a carrot or that it would taste like bacon! Any chance the grease they used was old and "meaty" from other fryings?Just asking...

VERDICT: Taste like bacon, no. very very crispy bacon-like texture yes. I don't know what truffled salt is either, but sea salt worked fine. ;)b
What if you soak the carrot strips in a bit of soy sauce, liquid smoke and a hint of maple syrup first? Then shake off your bunch before frying. Would that give it more of a bacony flavor?
