Heya, I'm new here but not a new veggie. I saw a couple of good posts and wanted to join. I'm looking forward to sharing recipes, especially with other athletes who need heavier diets. I run marathons, so its really important I get enough calories. Sometimes its a struggle, but I'm keeping on. :>
Hi. VeganRun and Allychristine are runners.
Here's a slightly dead running thread ---> http://vegweb.com/index.php?topic=28109.msg389394#msg389394
Hi! I'm also a runner, and I think being vegan has helped tremendously. I'm reading "Thrive" by Brendan Brazier right now, and I'm hoping it will help with recovery times after marathons and long distance or speed work training. I'll let you know once I finish it how I like it. He's vegan, and he eats a ton of raw food. I don't know if you know about Scott Jurek, but he's also vegan (and just set a new US record! Woo hoo!). Welcome to VW, and I hope you find some awesome recipes.
Welcome! Nice to meet you.
Hi there and welcome! I'm not much of a runner, except in frenetic impulsive spurts, but my 40something veg*n hubby runs 10k most mornings. Our standard diet serves him well -beans, rice, fruit, veggies and beer (rarely all at one time though).
welcome, i know there's at least one NFL player who is vegan, so you can definitely be a top athlete and get all of your needs with veg foods.
Hey everyone, what's up? My name is Peter and I'm new here. I'm from Lynnwood, where are you guys from?
I've just visited this forum. Happy to get acquainted with you. Thanks. :)>>>
