Special Halloween Meals?

I was curious if anybody else was cooking a special Halloween meal. We already made Halloween enchiladas (sweet potato and black bean), and I was thinking about making pumpkin seed crusted seitan with a pumpkin curry sauce. Post what you'll be making if you are! :D

Or are all of you too cool to be home on Halloween and cooking or something?

I hadn't planned on it, but now you've got me thinking. A pumpkin bisque to start with a caesar salad and maybe some habanero-seitan curry with mixed veggies. To drink? Cider, and not that crappy sparkling stuff. The kind that gets ya all warm and fuzzy feelin'

A pumpkin bisque to start.

I had actually considered coconut curry pumpkin soup as a starter, but after I decided on the seitan I didn't want to overkill.

Your's sounds really good. Cook for me.

there's a vegan Japanese restaurant here that has a Halloween menu:

might be too much pumpkin for me...

I've never really considered a Halloween meal (seem interesting tho). I'm accustomed to gorging myself on candy, so... I mean, it's like those people that have a special breakfast or whatever on Christmas. Who has room for food when you have candy?

CANDYYYYYYYYYYY

There are a couple of trad Scottish dishes I always associate with Halloween. One is Champ http://vegweb.com/index.php?topic=13959.0 and the other two are Tablet and Parkin. Tablet is a thick, heavy chocolate fudge-type thing and Parkin is heavy gingerbread.

Dinner was a success! I made the pumpkin seed crusted seitan with a pumpkin sauce served with a side of agave mustard asparagus and garlic & onion roasted potatoes.

AWW YEAH

I saw those too. I thought they were so silly - it's not like they'll taste any different, and all that food coloring!
But then I bought them.
And they were good.
