Ghirardelli Chocolate Chip

I read the Chirardelli Chocolate Chip (I believe it is semi-sweet) list of ingredients.  At the end it say "May" contain trace amounts of milk.  Do you consider it is vegan?  I wonder if they use the same machine and equipement process the milk chocolate to process the semi-sweet chocolate?

You got it.  It means that the product is made using shared equipment.  The disclaimer is a CYA in case a consumer has an allergic reaction.  That said, I still consider the product vegan if everything else checks out.

Thank you!  I will go ahead and use it.

I use them like mad!  I consider them vegan for sure. I found some other chips (mini) at the HFS that say "vegan" on them and I have been buying those too. I love when things say that! I can't resist! The brand is called "enjoy life". They are just as yummy if not yummier. Something about the mini-chip.....

... a person can fit more of them into his or her mouth than the regular- sized chip?

haha! Mmmm minis ... I myself love the big CHUNKS in my cookies.... out of the bag i go for the minis!
Baker's semi-sweet chunks are vegan. I wish I could find carob chunks.

to the OP:
I think most of the really strict vegans (at least on here) use products if the have the "shared equipment" disclaimer. Just to let you know what other people do. But tell me if I'm wrong guys.

I was of course referring to eating them out of the bag! I thought that was obvious!!!  Three huge handfuls a day keeps me happy!

You can bet that the machines are cleaned between products.  I know when I worked at Kellogg's and had to tour the plants I saw machines getting cleaned.  Didn't want a mixing of flavors.
