are candy canes usually vegan?

its just...they are sitting on counter-tops and trees everywhere....its not like they are in packages with convenient little ingredient labels. :P (this is me salivating...)
I'm pretty sure, yes. unless you think about the sugar - how was it processed? etc. I mean, candy canes are just pure sugar, and they're all made the same way, aren't they?
by the way, I CANNOT FIND A SINGLE CINNAMON CANDY CANE ANYWHERE!!! it's all peppermint, butterscotch, cherry (ew!), and other fruit flavours. whatever. cinnamon is the way to go.
Yeah, I am pretty sure a candy cane is just sugar of various kinds (probably some corn syrup) and flavorings.
This page has a little bit of info about candy canes:

But I suspect that the exact recipe varies by company. Maybe you could just check out a box next time you go shopping?

Blecch, ditto on the cherry. I am a peppermint girl myself. Cinnamon's not bad :)
