So, all y'all expressed interest in coming to my humble abode in Hartford for a vegweb shindig, of sorts.
Let's plan, shall we?
Let me mention first off that Bostoners can come to Hartford via the Megabus for quite cheap. Or carpool. Albany peeps could carpool as well. All of you in the Connecticut/New York/Massachusetts area are invited!
I am available these weekends:
January 30th
February 6th
February 13th (Valentines Weekend)
February 20th
March 7th
And beyond that, but let's stop right there for now.
What say you, friends? I am thinking a potluck with a theme. If we do it around Valentine's (or even if not) we could totally do an ironic love theme. Either way, I'm making cumcakes and penis/vagina cookies. Because how often do you get to do that?
I have a lovely kitchen, a futon, and a decent amount of floor space, though we'd need some cushioning for the floor sleepers (wood floors). You could stay the night or just come for the day.
Thoughts? I want to do something that we all like. We can have games, drinks, movies, presents, etc.

Oh, I was wondering, does anyone have any extra chairs they could bring? Like folding ones--hard ones or the kind like you'd put in a dorm, ya know? My furniture is a couch, an armchair, and four dining room chairs. Extra seats would be helpful, since soooo many people are coming!
Does anyone who is coming have a copy of "The China Study" that I could barrow? I've been wanting to read it but I avoid buying books as often as possible and it seems Hartford and West Hartford libraries only have a single copy of it and it is never in....I can mail the book back to you after I read it.

I just finished putting together my party outfit! It is epic, if I do say so myself. I'm wearing it around the house right now.

YAY!Thank you. Then I don't even have to pay for postage to send it back to you! Hehe...I remembered SOMEONE got it at the CT pot luck but I could not remember who it was. How lucky for me...they are selling it at B&N for 20% off, plus i have a membership card, so I would get and extra 10% off...but I just feel guilty wasting paper if i can borrow....I do feel the VW love!!!!

I love games. I have some games I can bring. And the best kinds require only pens and paper, imho. I can teach all y'alls the best game ever! telephone pictionary aka write draw.

I think I have only one beach chair here....but its low to the ground....hopefully someone else does....hummm....
if we do want to do a documentary...there's a site called freedocumentary.org we can pick one out fromt here, and if someone can dounload it to DVD...we can watch it...

I have a couple of camp chair type things that BP & co. could come collect before they go if you guys need 'em.
