I'm not from Australia, I just wanted to say hi. We have someone from NZ here. I like your user name. I call my cat miss meow all the time. I spent 3 months in Australia back in 2000. I loved it and would love to go back someday. Welcome to vegweb!

Its nice to know that there are some people close to home. I also wanted someone to join me in a winge about the lack of vegan products this side of the equator!

I have to say I don't really feel like there's a lack of vegan products where I live... They sell tofutti cream cheese and slices at my local health food stores (and woolies, actually!) so I'm happy!

I'm in NSW, in the upper Blue Mountains.. As to Tofutti I have never even seen it. From what I have read US has Sweetened condensed soy milk! Omg! Do we have that here? I think I need to make a shopping trip to Newtown..

Newtown was where I stayed the longest when I was in Australia 8 years ago. I stayed at a hostel called Billabong...something. I also took a trip to see the blue mountains. I remember walking down something like 80 million steps, but it was beautiful!

Can't say that I've ever noticed sweetened condensed soymilk....but then again I've never really looked for it.

well.. I'm transitioning to vegetarianism, and my husband and I have aspirations of moving from the U.S to Australia once he graduates in May... so maybe in a year or two I'll be a Vegan in Australia =-p
