Super Easy Pie Filling

What you need:

2 cups orange juice
2 large apples (Red delicious works best)
1/4 - 1/2 tablespoon of cloves or cinnamon (optional)

What you do:

Note: The more organic/natural your ingredients, the better it comes out tasting. Why, I don't know... But conventional works fine... :)
Pour juice and cloves into a saucepan (like 10"-14" stainless steel one). Mix and set aside. Peel and core apples, Cut them into to long skinny sections. (As you cut them place the pieces in the juice so they don't brown a lot.) Cook on the stove for about 20 minutes on high, stirring occasionally to make sure none of the pieces stick and burn to the bottom. As it's cooking it'll get thick and a little darker.
Sometimes I like to cut this recipe in half so I could eat it as is. But if you want to use it in a small pie, get a 9" raw pie crust and bake it for about 15 minutes.
If I'm going to eat it as is, I sometimes put raisins in with the juice and cloves.

20 to 45 minutes

I loved this. My first pie made from starch.
I'm so proud of myself it's kinda sad that all my confidence came from making a pie.
HEHE.
I'll try to take a picture.. if my rents stop eating it hehe.
YUMMMMYYY
I made it with a non vegan crust. But the filling ohh my i love it.

awwww thanx. I didn't even notice that anyone actually tried this. But it's nice to see that someone actually liked something I came up with. *does happy dance*

Somethings I forgot to add: Don't be afraid to experiment with different fruit juices to see how it goes. (pineapple, peach, fruit punch, etc.)    Also, while boiling you can add tiny berries (blue berries, raspberries, etc.) or raisins to give it a lil kick. yay.  8)
