Simple Oatmeal Energy Smoothie

What you need: 

1/4 cup organic oatmeal
2 oz water or low fat soy milk
5-7 dates (depending on how sweet you like it)
1 peeled banana
3 tablespoons coconut milk
dash of cinnamon

What you do: 

Blend all ingredients together until smooth.

This was really tasty! I doubled the oatmeal, banana, and "milk," thinking it wouldn't be enough, but I was full 1/2 way. I will definately make again! Thank you for posting!!!

they look alot like kiwis, but are pinkinsh brown on the inside and have huge teardrop shaped seeds in them.. i know they have them in florida, but i dunno if they are in CA.. they grow in mexico, so maybe.. im from LA and had never heard of them before i came to the caribbean.. they are a tropical fruit, and so good..

i made this for my guy for dinner tonight.. he has a smoothie for dinner everynight.. we ran out of bananas for his usual 3 banana smoothie and were stuck with one one banana.. instead of making a nasty mango smoothie (i HATE mangoes.. bleh) i looked up an oatmeal smoothie and found this.. it's super good.. i used 3 sapodillas instead of dates (sapodillas taste like brown sugar and maple syrup) and added about 6 ice cubes to make it a little thicker along with freezing the banana in slices before hand..

thanks! now there another kind of smoothie i can make :)
