Rockin' Green Smoothie

What you need: 

5 dates, pitted
1/2 cup water
1 cup ice
1 ripe banana
a handful frozen blueberries
2 collard green leaves with ribs removed (about 2 cups)

What you do: 

Blend dates and water until smooth. Add ice, banana and blueberries. Add a little more water if necessary. Blend until smooth, then add collards and blend again until smooth.
Source of recipe: I made this recipe up this morning. A beautifully green smoothie with little blue speckles.

SO HOW'D IT GO?

I made this yesterday, with a few improvisations. Instead of dates, I used fresh strawberries. I also added some unsweetend Almond milk, 5 or 6 ice cubes and mustard greens instead of collard greens. I think if I make this again, I will be adding some fresh mint. Over all, I really like this recipe (even if it turned out purple rather than green haha). Thanks for posting!
