Rawsome Breakfast Mix

What you need:

1 medium to large apple
1 medium pear
2 tablespoons raisins or currants
2 tablespoons almonds
1 large celery stalk
1 handful spinach
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon, optional
1 teaspoon agave, optional

What you do:

1. Cut the seeds out of the apple and pear.
2. In a food processor, pulse the nuts and raisins until chopped up coarsely.
3. Add the rest of the ingredients and process until slightly chunky, being careful not to over mix.
Its really so yummy. You can also sprinkle some flaxseed on there if you want something a little extra. Omit the agave and/or raisins if too sweet.

I omitted the pear as well.

I also added 6-7 dates, 1-1.5 tbspn of whole sesame seeds, and a chopped banana on top of it all!

i only added a teensy bit of agave because i wasn't sure if i'd want it or not but it would be great without it!

Haven't tried it yet but sounds delish!

I think I'll throw in a couple date's instead of adding a sweetener..

Yummy.. I subbed the raisins for craisins, as that was all I had, I added one date. I found it way too sweet though. So I will omit the dates and agave next time.

Otherwise fantastic! thanks for sharing!

O.K.  When I saw everyone ranting and raving about this recipe I knew that I had to try it.  The recipe list is weird, the picture - weirder.  The outcome - very good. Added 1/2 of a date as well as currants.  Only used 1 small apple and 1/2 of a pear.  I will definitely be eating this on a regular basis - good for you, good to you.  Can't beat it.

HOLY COW! This is AMAZING!!!!!
My 5 year old son loved it too and asked for his own bowl (which I gladly obliged!!!)
I used 3/4 of an apple, omitted the pear, used raisins and dates, walnuts and almonds,
omitted the cinammon and agave (it was plenty sweet) and used a huge handful of spinach!
This was incredible and will be making often!!!!
It probably made about 3 cups which I thought was alot...but I'm not having any trouble eating
it all!!! Does this keep well in the fridge for leftovers???

So this became my Rawsome lunch today. It was yum! I didn't have pears, celery or spinach, so I used a banana, carrot and arugala instead. I added 1/2tsp of molasses instead of agave as well, and will probably not use it again just because it was almost too sweet. I'll be making this often!

The first time that I made this recipe, I added in the cinnamon. It tasted weird, but wasn't too bad. This time, I didn't add the cinnamon and I used a couple of more raisins. All that I have to say is... DELICIOUS!  :)>>> I'm eating it now as I type this. The celery gives this a pop of flavor. And I replaced the almonds with pecans. And the best thing about this recipe is that it keeps you full for a long time. Also, the spinach helps to regulate your bowls. Definitely giving this a thumbs up.

This is an awesome breakfast!  It keeps me full until well after lunch time and it's so easy to make.  I make sure to have it at least once a week.

I just made this and it was delicious. I added a couple brazil nuts and dates, and drizzled with some flax oil. Yum! Thanks for posting.
