Ranch Dip/Dressing

What you need:

1 12 oz pack silken tofu, drained
2 teaspoons lemon juice
1 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon pepper
1 teaspoon parsley
1 teaspoon onion powder
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

What you do:

Put tofu in food processor and whirl until smooth. Use firm for a stiffer dip, soft for something more drippy. Add in the rest of the ingredients and whirl to blend. To make dressing, whirl in a little soy milk, how much depends on how thick you like your dressing, personally I don't like it gloppy so I use soft tofu and enough soy milk to make it a little runny.
Without diluting it with soy milk, it comes out to about 8 calories/tablespoon, way lower than any commercial stuff. If you want it tangier, add a little more lemon juice, do not use vinegar as a substitute, I tried a couple of recipes using vinegar before I decided to work on my own, and I think it tastes well...vinegary.

I tried this, and it came out ok... of course I modified the recipe a little.  It's amazing for how few calories is in it though, but iot doesn't taste quite like Ranch.  I'm on a diet, or I would have made it with vegenaise...  ;)b

Well, it's supposed to be teaspoon, all of the measurements are supposed to be in teaspoons. This is the 2nd time I've submitted a recipe and this has happened. How does an 1/8 tablespoon even make sense? I'll send a message to admin and see if they can fix it.

i made this today to use in the chck'n bakes on this site, and it was pretty good! i was a little nervous about the tablespoon of salt, so i did half a tablespoon and it's just right.  i also started with half a tablespoon of onion powder, but i ended up adding more so i guess i could have done the full tablespoon. i put in a little dill too because i felt it needed something. it was delicious in the bakes, and i cant wait to eat it with some baby carrots!
