Yeah, I guess they could be sweeter, depending on personal taste. It's a pretty forgiving recipe, though, and adjustments are fairly easy to make :-)
Like I said, I made these when I used to work at a women's gym, so I was going for low-cal, healthy. I once made them low-fat brownies, and they were kind of dry, not chewy-yummy, but they liked that because I guess chewier = less healthy or fattening (?)
These turned out nicely, next time I'll add more sugar because the oilive oil taste is slightly palatable. I also added caramel flavoured soya yogurt instead of molasses and a dash of sugar.. needs more sugar but is good ;D
I added a fair bit more applesauce, as well as some soy milk to make the batter more workable, used sugar as my sweetener, and they turned out pretty well. The texture is really good, they taste yummy, and were so simple to make. ;)b
You needed more liquid? That's surprising, since whenever I've made them, the batter was pretty moist. Not runny, mind you, just kind of thick. Anyway, I'm glad you enjoyed them, and thanks for commenting!
