Peanut Butter-Banana-Carob Milkshake

What you need:

1 banana
1/2 cup of light vanilla soy milk
2 tablespoons of carob chips/powder
1 heaping teaspoon of peanut butter
sugar to taste
6-8 ice cubes
dash of cinnamon

What you do:

Combine everything into a blender. (When using carob chips, place the peanut butter and carob chips into a microwave-safe bowl and nuke for about seven to ten seconds. You want the mixture to be smooth and pourable. Then, spoon into your blender. Blend until smooth. Add cinnamon to taste.

SO HOW'D IT GO?

This was *excellent*. ITA with the comment above about the Vitamix really smoothing it out. I think frozen banana will do the trick. Also, this recipe does not need any sugar; between the banana and the peanut butter it is plenty sweet. Adding plenty of cinnamon really brings a great flavor to the smoothie, too!

Yum! I used hemp milk instead of soymilk, but otherwise kept the recipe the same. My Vitamix made it more like chocolate milk than a shake, so next time I may freeze the banana, add more ice cubes, or cut down on the milk.
