Pasta Salad

What you need:

2 cups pasta, cooked & cooled
2 ripe tomatoes, chopped
1 green onion, sliced thin
1/2 green pepper, chopped
1/4 cucumber, chopped
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup vegetable oil
1/3 cup ketchup
1/4 cup vinegar
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1 teaspoon paprika

What you do:

Mix together the sugar, oil, ketchup, vinegar, salt, pepper & paprika. It turns out better using a mixer rather than trying to mix by hand.
Pour the dressing over the pasta and veggies, and stir.

SO HOW'D IT GO?

mmm i just made a huge pot of this for a cookout this evening and it is SO good! i just snuck a little for lunch too... i only made one batch of sauce for 1 and 1/2 boxes of pasta and lots of veggies and there was still plenty to cover everything. i also halved the sugar and still thought the sauce was a little too sweet and mild, so i added juice from half a lemon and extra salt and pepper, OM NOM NOM

i cant wait to try it after a few hours in the fridge <3

WARNING... u must eat the pasta salad that same day... i had half of it left over and all the liquid absorbed into the pasta making it totally mushy and gross the next morning i had to throw it away...it tasted wonderful right after making it though.

I really liked the dressing as is :) i might even try it on salad... i thought there was enough dressing for a whole bag of pasta (not just 2 cups)... i didn't add the cucumber though (since I didn't have one) so maybe that's why?!?! But this was good :)

:D :)>>> :^OH MY GOD!!!!! this is THE best pasta salad I have EVER tasted!!!!!!
The only changes I did was, include the whole cucumber and only use about half the sugar. And also minus the paprika because I didn't have any.

Thank you so much for this recipe!!!!  8)

My husband LOVES this pasta salad.  It is simple to make and is very tasty.  I agree that it is a bit on the sweet side, so I've been adding half the sugar.  I just included the  whole pepper and cucumber, as it fills the salad better.  You could totally experiment with different veggies for different textures; and add a favorite bean (I used white) for some protein.  Fantastic recipe!  Thanks!!

Pretty good but makes way too much sauce for the salad. I followed the recipe substituting zucchini for green pepper and it was swimming in the sauce. About half would be a good amount. It tastes a bit like French dressing which I like, my roommate thought it was a bit too sweet.

I made this tonight; it was pretty good.
I had to make it without cucumbers, but still tasted lovely.

This recipe was great. I used turmeric instead of paprika, because I couldn't find any. Tasted great. I also added parsley, which was a mistake, but it didn't ruin it. Easy to make and delicious!  :)
