Nut Milk Simplified

What you need:

1-2 Tablespoon nut butter (I like almond best)
2 cup water (prefferably spring or filtered)
dash of liquid vanilla

What you do:

Pour water into food processor or blender, add rest and blend.
This makes a simple nut milk that when used instead of packaged soy etc. milk will help reduce all that waste.
Also, i've heard the often the vitamin D2 that they sometimes add is from animal sources, mostly lanolin (from sheep wool), not something i want in my vegan milk.
This milk is best for coffee, mate, and tea, not so good for cereal because it's on the thin side.
Enjoy!

SO HOW'D IT GO?

This recipe has really saved my patootie countless times.  I've never drunk it, but it's perfect for converting a recipe on-the-fly when you didn't check your ingredients beforehand! ;)b
