Flax Seed Curling Cream

What you need:

2 tablespoons flax seeds
1 cup water

What you do:

1. Bring water to a boil.
2. Reduce heat and add flax seeds. Simmer for 10 minutes.
3. Strain into a bottle and put it on your hair!!
Store in the fridge for up to a week.
I personally had a lot of trouble straining this, so I read suggestions of putting the seeds in some panty hose and boiling them in that. I just simmered them for 6 minutes, before it turned into a gel and strained them.
Source of recipe: I found this on another forum and I love it!!

SO HOW'D IT GO?

Ok silly question... do you use the ground or whole flax seed? I only keep ground on hand so just wondering

This is amazing! My hair is always so frizzy, but I just don't like hair products and the way they smell. This totally works on my curly/wavy hair.  Next time I may put some essential oil in it just for fun. Awesome recipe THANK YOU! I'm sold for life :)

I actually put the flaxseeds right into the boiling water and simmered for 15 minutes or so. Then I just put a strainer over a bowl and pour the mixture in and it strained pretty well. It works pretty well too.

Uhh- really dumb question here- if I have straight hair, should I use a curling iron then use the gel, or does smething awesome in the flax make your hair curl? Please don't call me retarded for posting this, but the term 'Curling Cream' is kinda misleading. :-\
