I realize this has already been said many times, but here it is anyway:

I made these pancakes today, was missing an ingredient (so milk) and substituted something else for it (water), they came out amazing and my guest said they were perhaps the best pancakes they'd ever tasted.  I'm going to make these many more times, and do some crafty additions like bananas and vegan chocolate chips.  Yay, pancakes!

Thanks for the fantastic recipe!

Well I went one step further and added about a heaping 1/3 of a cup of pureed pumpkin! Holy pancakes.....I melted some EB and heated some syrup and then just because, I added some chopped pecans on the top! It was like having dessert for breakfast..so sinful, AND so worth it! Perfect Sunday, cold weather breakfast!

Thank you for this

This is a great recipe! I always love it. Today instead of regular soymilk, I used Silk's pumpkin spice soy and put pumpkin pie spice instead of cinnamon - delish, though I will add some canned pumpkin next time to make it more pumpkiny but as far as a great base recipe, this is my favorite and I use it whenever I want pancakes.

;)b   these were fantastic!!  and i so suck at making pancakes. my kids devoured them. and that's saying something. my four year old has stopped eating anything that's not bread with garlic or peanut butter.   :-[   i used a flax egg (didn't warm it on the stove, just ground the seeds and added warm water to it. let it sit for 2-3 mins), vanilla soy milk and turbinado. i forgot to add that i used 1/2 tsp vanilla and 1/2 tsp almond extract. they don't need syrup!

I make pancakes almost every Sunday for the kids I nanny for (3 years old, 6 and 8). Ive been using Isa recipe from Vegan With a Vengeance and getting mixed reviews...Tried this today and the kids loved it...I didn't have vanilla so I replaced it with a little syrup...

This was SO simple to make and really good!!!  I used coconut extract instead of vanilla.  It's super good if you top it with macadamia nuts and coconut syrup!

Best pancakes ever... seriously!! I like to add about a teaspoon of almond extract, and that's the only change to the recipe. They're just about perfect!

These were great; very easy and yummy! I used applesauce in place of oil. I also used a banana for the egg and and added some extra chunks and threw in some blueberries for some awesome banana-blueberry pancakes!  I like recipes that have room for variation, I think i'll do chocolate chip next time. Thanks for posting!

My children devoured these this morning so I can say they were a hit.  I used whole wheat pastry flour and a mashed banana instead of the egg substitute.  I like to make mine fairly small so I can freeze leftovers and zap them in the microwave in a hurrry.  They were light and fluffy, I will make these again.
