My husband & I have been traveling for 2 months, with another to go, and we've hit a week where we have a real sweet tooth. Since ALL of the cookies and treats here (Turkey-Croatia) have hydrogenated vegetable oil and lots of them have egg/dairy, I've been doing what I can with oats, raisins and apples.

Tonight, this recipe showed up and seeing as I had all of the listed ingredients, I took that as a sign that I had to make this. Yes, I travel with carob powder and yes, I love the fact that as powder it does not contain any hydrogenated oils! :)

The only thing I didn't have was a blender, so I did what I could mashing with a fork, added a bit of unsweetened coconut and we were off into banana-carob-walnut-mandarin heaven... thank you for the reminder of banana pudding, and great choice for flavor combo!

This was actually really yummy!

I only had one banana, and I just used a tablespoon of cocoa powder.  I was surprised how sweet it was even without any sweeteners, it was actually so yummy!
I've been trying to cut out junk food, so this will be my go-to when I'm craving something worse  :)

I find it extremely offensive that Tina suggested we eat big macs. There is a difference between eating hydrogenated oil and burgers. Not everyone is a veg*n for health reasons, in fact most aren't.

Anyway, this IS a healthy dessert and I think I will make it sometime soon.

This was yummy! What a great idea! I used cocoa and a tiny bit of agave since my bananas weren't very ripe/sweet. This makes a great dip for strawberries!!! Thanks for sharing!
