Avocado Fries
What you need:
1 avocado
1/4 cup nutritional yeast
1/8 cup ground flax seed
1/8 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon ground red pepper
1/2 teaspoon onion or garlic powder
What you do:
1) Slice the avocado in half and remove pit. Carefully slice each half into long slices. Carefully remove from skin.
2) Mix remaining ingredients in a small bowl. Place strips of avocado into the 'batter' and stir gently or shake around in bowl.
3) Eat now or dehydrate for about 10 minutes.
This is really good with sun dried tomato ketchup!

SO HOW'D IT GO?
I recently came across your blog and have been reading along. I thought I would leave my first comment. I don't know what to say except that I have enjoyed reading. Nice blog. I will keep visiting this blog very often.
an easy way to get a girlfriend
These are fantastic, really good raw or in the dehydrator. There was enough of the coating for at least 2 maybe 3 avocados. Thanks
These totally cured my craving for nachos.
Yum.
These things are great! I made a batch yesterday and afterwards, had to run to the store right away to get some more ripe avocados as the only ones I had on hand weren't ripe enough. I knew I'd want to make them again today and I was right. Fantastic recipe!
Loves it! i tried this recipe tonight, and made some extra and stashed in the fridge as part of a quick on-the-go meal during the week when i am working long hours!!! :)
I thought about doing that but was wondering if the avocado would end up turning brown. How did it work out for you?
These are delicious! I love the buttery/creamy taste of the avocado and the crunch from the coating. I also used the "breading" to make zucchini sticks, which worked wonderfully!
These are great! My two year old wouldn't stop eating them! :)>>>
Do you guys use a dehydrator? If not what do you do in replace of the unit? Let them dry in a low oven perhaps?
these are great in the D, yes, but they are yummy even not dehydrated. if you're not raw, you could also try them in the oven, or if you are raw you could try them in the oven on the very lowest temp your oven goes to :)
i don't even use the dehydrator...then again, i feel i'm progressing away from it in my raw journey...i use it less like a crutch, and more like an occasional chair-i-grab-to-reach-something-on-a-higher-shelf.
