Autumn Spice Glaze

What you need: 

1/2 cup vegan margarine
3 tablespoons brown sugar
2 tablespoons canned pumpkin OR
2 tablespoons apple butter OR
1 tablespoon of each (pumpkin and apple butter)
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
the teeniest pinch of nutmeg

What you do: 

Heat vegan margarine on low to med. heat until melted. Add brown sugar, stir until dissolved.
Add pumpkin/apple butter, stir again.
Lastly, add the spices and stir thoroughly.
Spoon onto muffins,cupcakes, cinnamon buns or cake while still warm.
I created this while making pumpkin cupcakes without realizing I had no confectioner's sugar for the glaze. It was perfect, since I utilized the last couple spoonfuls of the pumpkin that I never seem to use. I've also made it with apple butter on cinnamon apple muffins.

Thank you, but where I live there's no apple butter, hope to find a recipe to homemade it.

It's kind of like apple jelly but really creamy and dark and delicious! I am not sure how to make it at home, but I haven't had a problem finding it in the pb & j section of the grocery store...
