Apple Pie Oatmeal

What you need:

2 1/2 cups old fashioned oatmeal
ground cinnamon
ground nutmeg
ground ginger
vanilla flavoring
sugar (white and brown)
3 apples (I used red delicious and Fuji)
Earth Balance spread

What you do:

First , prepare the apples by peeling them. Then dice them whatever size you want them.
Second bring about 4 3/4 cup water to a boil. As soon as it begins to boil, stir in the oats slowly and continue to stir while they're boiling. Cook the oats until the glutinous liquid cooks out. That is what I usually do.
When the oats are cooked, that is when you stir in the spices and apples. Basically you just add the spices to taste. Stir 'em in real good. It’s good when you aren't shy with the spices.
Add the vanilla and sugars to taste as well.
To top it off, add a pat or two of earth balance, and there you go.
Enjoy!!

This tasted so good!  I made it for breakfast yesterday and my family was raving over it!  My mom said that you could call it a dessert if you wanted!  Thank you for posting such a great recipe!

Delicious! I personally think it tastes even better with a handful of raisins.  :)

This recipe was great!  I pared it down to one serving: 1/2 cup old fashioned oats, 1 medium apple, lots of cinnamon, a little nutmeg, a few dashes of vanilla, 2 Tbsp maple syrup and @ 1 tsp Earth Balance.  Thanks for a great breakfast!

I'm glad u like the recipe.. my husband inspired me to post this. He's not that crazy about oatmeal but he was crazy about it this way. I just thought I'd share. ;)
