Although I didn't grow up in a religious family, Easter was always a favorite holiday. That's because it meant candy. Loads and loads of candy. Easter egg hunts, candy baskets, and chocolate bunnies. Becoming vegan doesn't mean giving up all those delightful treats, it just meansĀ getting more creative [1]. In addition to making (and eating!) all manners of delicious candies, you can get creative with Easter breads and dishes. And what of Passover? One of the most joyous meals of my life was celebrating Seder at a friend's house in middle school. I learned that you don't necessarily have to be religious to enjoy celebrating holidays of different faiths. And let me tell you, matzo ball soup won a fan for life.
