Simple Trifle
What you need:
8oz (200g) vegan ginger biscuits
1 packet vegan jelly
1 pint (568ml) thick custard, made with soy milk
1 carton (250ml) soya cream
apple juice concentrate
topping such as grated chocolate, 100's and 1000's etc..
What you do:
Break the biscuits into pieces and place on the bottom of a trifle bowl.
Make the jelly, pour over biscuits and allow to set. Make custard and pour over jelly, allow to set again.
To make topping. put a little soya cream in a cup add 1/2 teaspoon apple juice, whip the cream till forms into peaks. When all cream is whipped, spread over the trifle all add your chosen toppings. I love halved strawberries and grated chocolate, but the combinations are endless so use your imagination!!

in the UK, Birds custard powder is vegan, if you make it with soy milk
I'm sure there's some good vegan custard recipes on this site if you search for one, but basically you can thicken soy milk or soy creamer with cornstarch to get a custard-like consistency.
How do you make vegan custard? That would be awesome!
